CNC Machine Programmer Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the CNC Machine Programmer in Clearwater, FL is between $100,000 and $140,000 depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

CNC Machine Programmer Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilize programming software and/or machine controls to effectively create, modify, and control machine tool programs.
  • Program software of 4 and 5 axis machines
  • Use both FANUC, CAD, and Mastercam for accuracy in production
  • Knowledge and understanding of blueprints, geometric tolerancing, and dimensioning
  • Knowledge of tooling, tooling offsets/compensation, raw material, speeds and feeds
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Use of advance mathematical and computer skills
  • Work closely with others to achieve work goals
  • Communicate with upper management on production goals daily, weekly, and monthly

CNC Machine Programmer Qualifications

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience as a CNC Machine Programmer in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Experience manufacturing defense products is a major plus
  • Extensive knowledge of 4 and 5 axis machines
  • Proficient knowledge of FANUC and Mastercam
  • Ability to interpret and analyze blueprint drawings
  • Must have stable work history
  • Communication skills and ability to work well with other
  • Open mind to new ideas and processes

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Technical degree that relates to Machining or Manufacturing
  • High School Education
