Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Assistant Project Manager in San Jose, CA.

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Electrical Assistant Project Manager in San Jose, California is between $60,000 and $100,000 depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and anticipate potential change orders
  • Manage customer relations to ensure customer satisfaction, quality of service, and long-term relations with company
  • Perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
  • Work closely with superintendents and foremen
  • Determine and manage project schedule, schedule of values, closeout documents, as- build red lines, and cost and complete documents
  • Responsible for material quoting and procurement including issuing purchase orders
  • Attend customer and construction coordination meetings
  • Assist PM on projects and paperwork involved, including material and labor reports, change orders, and RFI’s
  • Visit construction site to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, attend construction site meetings, review RFI’s, prepare ASI’s, PR’s, and prepare status reports per the contract documents

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an Electrical Project Engineer/APM, or assisting a Project Manager in the construction industry
  • Must be very detail-oriented, and have organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills required
  • Must be open-minded and willing to learn procedures and processes
  • Must be proficient on Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Able to work in a professional work environment and show strong business acumen
  • Must have stable work history
  • Commercial project experience required
  • Ability to travel to branches as needed

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Journeyman License
  • College Degree
