Total compensation for the Electrical Fire Alarm Protection Engineer in Washington, District of Columbia is between $150,000 and $200,000 depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Electrical Fire Alarm Protection Engineer Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Commercial/government project experience
  • Experience in value engineering and conceptual estimating
  • Mentor and provide leadership and management to fire protection engineering department of 20+ people
  • Responsible for quality and success of all work produced be the fire protection engineering department
  • Develop realistic timelines, deliverables, and measures of success
  • Coordinate plan reviews with field inspection activities to ensure the provisions of all applicable State and local fire safety laws, codes and regulations are enforced.
  • Coordinates activities with others involved in fabrication, operation, application, or installation
  • Consistently demonstrates professional skill sin structuring assigned activities, creativity, teamwork, communications, operational efficiencies, decision making, analyzing, and problem solving.


Electrical Fire Alarm Protection Engineer Manager Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of design management over fire alarm designers from design build applications to producing shop drawings from designed Life Safety Drawings.
  • Design experience in mission critical, healthcare, infrastructure and heavy manufacturing
  • PLC or Fire Alarm Equipment programming is a plus
  • NICET Certification
