Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical High Voltage Technician in Washington, District of Columbia.

Electrical High Voltage Technician Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Electrical High Voltage Technician in Washington, DC is between $30/hr to $58/hr  depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Electrical High Voltage Technician Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Test/Controls/Maintenance Technician of complex, new and/or extensively modified power and industrial controls system.
  • Monitor, analyze, evaluate, test, troubleshoot, align, modify, switch and calibrate multiple integrated electrical controls and power systems.
  • Test, repair, and calibrate entire systems and the individual components (power circuit breakers, protective relays, cables, transformers, network protectors, high/medium/low voltage power distribution substations, switchgear, microprocessors, supervisory circuits and other associate equipment.)

Electrical High Voltage Technician Qualifications

  • Specialized training in this field
  • Ability to improvise and devise solutions to unusual problems of an extremely complex nature
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience estimating electrical construction projects with an electrical contractor
  • Must have stable work history
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent organization, prioritization, ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

Preferred But Not Necessary         

  • Bachelor’s Degree
