Industrial Controls Technician Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Industrial Controls Technician in Santa Rosa, CA is between $36.00 and $40.00 an hour depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Industrial Controls Technician Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read/comprehend tape measure, blue prints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas and processing charts
  • Bend and install rigid conduit
  • Set up and pull wire and cable
  • Terminate power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable
  • Install electrical gear, equipment, and devices
  • Install and troubleshoot PLC's
  • Install and troubleshoot AC and DC Drives
  • Knowledgeable of single and three phase motors and motor control systems
  • Ensures effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems
  • Ability to mentor other technicians.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; attention to detail

Industrial Controls Technician Qualifications

  • Local Candidate
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial motor controls, PLC, and troubleshooting
  • Current active Journeyman California License
  • Experienced with programming Allen-Bradley and/or ABB
  • Working knowledge of electrical installation, estimating techniques, and cost control
  • Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
  • Must have stable work history

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Design and drafting of industrial control panels using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical Prior UL 508A shop experience
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree
