Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Electrical Project Manager Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Electrical Project Manager in Minneapolis, MN is between $100,000 and $115,000 depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Electrical Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of project proposals including; timely proposal submissions, budgets, scheduling, staffing and material purchasing
  • Study blue prints, schematics, manuals and other specifications to determine installation procedures
  • Order material/parts
  • Estimate material, personnel and time requirements to complete projects
  • Provide start to finish support and follow-up to customers and the project foreman to ensure company quality and performance standards are reached
  • Coordinate multiple projects on a continuing basis
  • Communicate with supervisors, peers, subordinates or customers in order to provide/receive information by telephone, two-way radio, in written form, in person or by email
  • Work closely with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate billing is conducted

Electrical Project Manager Qualifications

  • 8 years in hospital, military and airport project management experience mandatory
  • Must have a “hunter” mentality
  • Create, implement and execute business plan
  • Makes sales marketing calls while ID’ing VE ideas for clients
  • Experience with capital project work (includes new construction), maintenance and service work
  • Must have successful experience running projects of up to $2 million in size
  • Must have experience estimating
  • Knowledge of techniques and standards of installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
  • Must have Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Must be knowledgeable of National Electric Code
  • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety standards
  • Must have knowledge of techniques and standards for installation/connection of electrical equipment to power circuit
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Project), Estimating Software
  • Must have high energy, intuitive, ability to multi-task, strong follow-up skills, extravert, must work well with all levels of organization

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Journeyman License or Degree
