Senior Mechanical Estimator Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Mechanical Estimator in Denver, CO is between $75,000 and $100,000 depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Senior Mechanical Estimator Duties & Responsibilities

  • Compile accurate bid documents – including take-off and summary of all materials, fixtures and equipment, along with evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs
  • Work with estimating staff to prepare and improve bid proposals in a manner most attractive to general contractors and owners, maximizing sales opportunities
  • Prepare schedules encompassing construction field conditions, evaluating level of difficulty as compared to normal work
  • Manage simultaneous subcontractor and equipment quotes
  • Understand construction field conditions and project schedules

Senior Mechanical Estimator Qualifications

  • You must have at least 10 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry
  • Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Experience estimating process piping systems, utility piping, plumbing, HVAC systems, duct work and equipment
  • Highly skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Piping expertise relating to plan layouts, schematics, P & IDs, and specifications
  • Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor
  • Quickpen experience preferred
  • Degree preferred
