Job Description


Base salary is between $100K-135K depending on experience. Base salary may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained to conduct a search to fill the above position for a confidential client in their Detroit, Michigan office

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering documents
  • Handle bids from “cradle to grave”
  • Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing
  • Communicate with customers to properly define the project scope, address deficiencies, and negotiate pricing
  • Read and thoroughly understand prints, specifications, contract documents, and various electrical systems
  • Complete electrical material takeoffs through the use of software
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors and other team members
  • Direct & manage as required to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed budget
  • Maintain rapport with architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure customer satisfaction, quality of service, and long-term relations

Skills & Requirements

  • Candidate must have a minimum 5+ years’ experience estimating mid to large industrial and automotive electrical construction projects
  • Ability to complete accurate take-off and prepare scopes, and schedules 
  • Must be accustomed to overseeing all resources required (materials, related paperwork, support personnel, etc.)
  • Must be able to attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and weekly production meetings as necessary
  • Ability to work well with members in a team environment
  • Must collaborate effectively with internal and external personnel to facilitate job progress
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must demonstrate prioritization, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • The ideal candidate lives in the Detroit area
