ELECTRICAL MISSION CRITICAL FACILITIES MANAGER (DALLAS, TX)

Delta Construction Partners is a National Executive Search and Management Consulting Firm for the Nation’s premier General and Electrical Contractors and Industry professionals.  Delta has been retained to conduct a search to fill the above position for a confidential client in their Dallas, Texas location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 10 years + of high risk data center experience; 5 years as a foreman
  • Maintaining continuous and uninterrupted conditioned electric power for the critical, high-risk data center and support systems within the facility
  • Reports to the Facility Manager for direction.
  • Supervise the electrical maintenance of a complex, automated and integrated electrical power distribution system, including utility substation, emergency generation switchgear, 13.2kV /15kV to 575/480 Volt unit substations, uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS), PLC switchgear control system, Batteries, chargers, controls and monitoring systems for UPS systems, switchgear, and generators, Power Distribution Units, Lightning and building grounding systems, and more
  • Manage the size and productivity of the contract staff electricians on site to ensure that all electrical service work and construction projects are performed in a timely and quality manner
  • Obtain supplies for electrical maintenance and construction as required and in conformance with Client / CRS practices. Maintain materials inventories necessary for reliable, continuous operation of the systems defined above in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
  • Ensure that all construction and service work is coordinated with other contractors and/or building occupants, as applicable
  • Prepare and submit for review Methods of Procedures for all work as requested.
  • Prepare and submit a hot work permit for all work requested. All hot work permits must be approved by the site Facility Manager prior to starting work.
  • Strong power distribution, construction and maintenance capabilities; extensive installation and service experience for complex UPS and generator systems
  • Familiarity with low and medium voltage switchgear (to 15 kVA), circuit breakers and controls including programmable logic controllers, building management systems and addressable fire/smoke detection systems
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from a variety of sources (i.e. manuals, drawings, specifications, CAD)
  • Proven leadership abilities, analytical, conscientious, detail-oriented, forward thinking and able to use good judgment
  • Empowered to commit the necessary human and capital resources that will ensure that Client’s requirements are satisfied
  • On call 24 hrs., 7 days per week for emergency service work; available to work on any day or night as required by Client’s schedule for electrical maintenance, construction, and testing
  • Licensed Class “A” journeyman electrician in the state in which the job site is located.
  • Must have a stable work history
