Job Description


Base salary is between $130,000 and $140,000 depending on experience. Base salary may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained to conduct a search to fill the above position for a confidential client in their Chicago, Illinois area office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead safety culture
  • Prepare estimates for service projects
  • Achieve planned growth, profit and customer retention goals
  • Implement and enforce company policy, procedures and initiatives pertaining to service department
  • Evaluate and implement plans for new service revenue streams
  • Lead marketing and business development teams to develop, market, and distribute marketing material for department growth
  • Assess and improve efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and maintain service department KPI’s
  • Perform/attend interviews for future employees
  • Approve billing
  • Lead/attend appropriate meetings
  • Facilitate training and development for field TM’s
  • Evaluate technicians
  • Oversee 90-day reviews/bi-annual reviews
  • Forecast budgets and manpower
  • Assess, maintain, and manage appropriate staffing level and word load distribution
  • Manage and develop admin and coordinators within the department

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong employment stability
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing, growing and developing a service department with a proven track record of success
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience and high-level troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of current NEC
  • Experience with or ability to learn dispatching software
  • Knowledge with NFPA 70E guidelines/requirements

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Knowledge of local market/surrounding areas
